How To Travel From Bangkok To Koh Chang
As an independent traveler trying to avoid the overcrowded islands in the South, you’re probably looking for the easiest way to get to and from this beautiful island. A) Will be clutching 800+ pages of Lonely Planet / Rough Guide guidebrick when you arrive in Thailand and will have spent plenty of time sitting in airport bangkok to koh chang lounges memorising large tracts of it in order to avoid looking like an obvious tourist and wandering around wide eyed and gawping as soon as you arrive in Thailand.
And although the weather is hot – after all, this is South East Asia – as for the rest of the islands in Thailand, Koh Chang gets a lovely marine breeze that makes it all the more enjoyable (and way more bearable compared to the still heat of inland Cambodia).
Unfortunately tickets for the shared minibus can’t be booked in advance but can be bought after you land from the Suvarnabhumi Burupha ticket counter from the main terminal building on level 1. Tickets cost 600 Baht including the ferry ticket for one way.
Sports – There are plenty of fun activities to keep you busy on Koh Chang: Take an ATV tour , a bike tour or head to the tree top adventure park There are loads of water sports (scuba diving, wind surfing etc) available on the beaches as well – at much cheaper rates than many of the other Thai islands.
