5 Easy Ways To Earn Money Blogging

If you are like me and you love to blog, there is nothing better than knowing you can make money while enjoying your hobby. You will find a lot of websites that guarantee you with results if you buy their book or pay for their learning course, but I have found that a lot of these are ripoffs. Most of the websites that promise making quick cash in a day or two, just seem unrealistic since they usually consist of one page covered in advertisements. My posts on this blog are NOT like that. I will never charge readers for my content and I try to provide accurate and helpful information for those who wish to learn about making money with a blog.

So with that being said, let me get on with a few great ways to earn money online from your blog/website. These are some of the more popular ways, but there are a lot more out there that I will get to in future posts.

1. Google Adsense – This is a service that allows publishers to post advertisements on their website/blog. You can place the ads anywhere you want on your layout, and it is very simple to do, especially with Blogger. Blogger has built in Adsense to make it very user friendly to place ads in your blog. If you are hosting a blog through WordPress on your own server, then you can easily place Adsense ads within code or download plugins to make it easier. Once you are all setup, advertisements will be shown on your blog/website and whenever a visitor clicks on these advertisements, you will get paid per click. The amount you are paid depends on which ad is shown, but with a lot of learning and tweaking, you can increase your earnings a great amount. Google Adsense requires a minimum of $100 in earnings, to cash out.
2. Chitika – This is another PPC website much like Adsense but sometimes hands out higher payments. It is setup pretty much the same so that you can easily enter the code into your blog/site or download a plugin to help you do so. The nice thing is that you can use Chitika alongside of Adsense, so that you can generate larger earnings. They provide some different types of advertisements, such as the “Mini Mall” which shows a few products and descriptions, so that it attracts users to buy products while you earn money from the click. With the new Premium services they provide, you can really optimize your ad placements and increase visitor clicks.
3. Affiliates - Affiliation programs are another great way to earn money from your blog. You can join a company as an affiliate, which will allow you to place banners or links on your site, and if a visitor clicks the banner and purchases a product, you will receive a commission. Affiliation programs differ depending on which companies you choose. Some may require visitors to buy a product, while others may require visitors to sign up for a subscription. I recommend using CJ.com because it is the best for finding affiliate programs, managing them, and earning money through commission. It can really have an impact on your site income if you place the banners in a good location where people will see them and be enticed to click.
4. Amazon Associates Program – Amazon provides an awesome service to bloggers and website owners. Signing up is 100% free and quick to do. Once you are registered, you will have access to a Store creation section which allows you to basically create your own store hosted by Amazon. You will be able to choose the layout, categories, and other great options. Once the store is created, visitors can check it out and make purchases. Each purchase earns you a certain % in commission, but it changes from category to category. Amazon associates also gives you some cool widgets and banners to use on your blog to help attract visitors.
5. Sell Ad Space – If you have room on your blog/website and you get a decent amount of traffic, then try to put up a section on your layout where you can sell advertisement space. This is a great way to make a few extra dollars per month from people who are looking to get their website shown on a popular blog/website. If your blog does not get a lot of traffic, then chances are people probably won’t want to purchase an advertisement spot. Be sure to charge a reasonable amount, enough to make money, but not enough to scare away people. Charge more if your blog/website is popular since the person who purchases space will be getting more exposure.
